25th June - Halfway to Christmas

As we reach the half way point between last Christmas and this Christmas, Yorkshire Florist starts to think about Christmas 2017.
All other major events in a florist's diary are now done for another year, Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Easter, and Father's Day. It's time to focus on the festive season.

This year we will deliver flower orders on Christmas Day between 9am and 12 noon. No specific delivery slots will be available, and when no more flowers can be delivered during this time slot, no more orders will be taken.

Special offers on early orders for Christmas wreaths will be available, more details soon.

Click the image to see details on our Christmas page so far. I will be adding more to this page over the coming days, weeks, and months.

Orders for wedding flowers, funeral tributes and fresh flower gifts, arrangements and bouquets will be taken throughout the year, see website for details.

Easter Bunny

Where does the Easter bunny come from?

We can blame the Germans for the Easter bunny.
Originally an 'Easter hare', a buck-toothed bringer of chocolate to the kids that have behaved themselves was first mentioned in German literature in 1682. The tradition stuck, and has led to the Easter bunnies you see on the shelves today as well as the expectation for a delivery of Easter eggs on the day.
